The Oxford Bulletin

The Oxford Bulletin began in 1942, when the Rev. N.J. Stevenson instigated the publication of a bulletin of local news and advertisements for the town of Oxford.

The task was taken on in 1946 by Mr and Mrs Zimmerman. Mrs Gwen Zimmerman continued producing the Bulletin after the death of her husband, with the help of her sister Eileen Evans.

In 1960 Mr Norman Robinson and his wife took over as editors and produced the newsletter until his death in 1978.

At this time approaches were made to the Oxford County Council to continue the service for the Oxford community, and it is still produced at the Oxford service centre of the Waimakariri District Council.
